Politics today

My World

Today I took a walk in the Parliament area. It was a really hot day today so I had to walk in the shadow.

There was a demonstration going on. A group of Hungarians who will lose some benefits they have had. The governement wants to save money I think.

It was a loud but friendly and a very intense demonstration. Not a destructive one (like in Greece).  Hungarians are wise people ;)

Just in case … it seems … lots of policemen and also an ambulance … but it wasn’t needed. That’s democracy when it works.

I cannot understand people who want’s to destroy everything around them. I like when people stand upp for democracy, follow the “rules” and care about everyones best.

I had a wonderful day with interesting experiences.

I also shot a film if you want to listen to the noice and voices.

I completely agree with you. Peaceful demonstrations are democracy at its best.

Have to repeat what the others have written, peaceful demonstrations are indeed democracy at its best! Terrific post for the day, Birgitta! Hope you have a great week!

Interesting post!! I think North America is going to have to relearn democracy, that is preventing groups from stealing rights and power. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River,Canada.

Wonderful. As long as demonstrations are peaceful, it is nice.

So good to see a peaceful demonstration. No belief justifies bloodshed. It is great to see a democratic process taken advantage of, there is no need of a revolution for a raise in wages.

Great photos.
