Exquisite photographs! Dragonflies are such fascinating creatures!

SHADOWY DINNER

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

Beautiful shot of the dragonfly. I can never get them to sit still long enough, at the right angle and in the right light, for me.

What amazing images - incredibly beautiful and the detail you have captured...

As this insect relaxes, the wings are folded - we see how slender the body is. Of course, we are used to seeing them in flight with their four wings moving. This insect is so beautiful when it is still. Lovely!

Amazing...awesome...beautiful. Mother Nature gives us so much to enjoy, and in turn you have, too. These captures are out of this world. The color of the dragonfly is magical. Love your post this week. genie

Those are lovely dragonflies. I've been to Lund and i still remember our wonderful lovely memories there. I specially like the rape plants when they turned yellow.
