The most beautiful Book Café

Our World 

I went along Ándrássy Boulevard heading the most beautiful Book Café in the world (I think).

Just inside the entrance is a wine area – if you want you can buy both books and wine.

I am now on the 1st floor and this is the children’s area. The children are always in focus in Hungary.

Here is the Book Café in Alexandra book shop. Amazing isn’t it?!

I decide to have a glass of Hungarian wine and a piece of chocolade cake…

… while enjoying the atmosphear …

Some days I shoot houses or house details.
Some days I shoot signs, walking feet, people, water, views ….. there are so much to experience and enjoy here in Budapest.

Sorry I don’t know any history about this house but it is almost opposite the grand Synagogue.

Duna Palota

Our World 

Duna Palace is an old beautiful building where they use to have conserts and folk danse performances.

Today we went here to have lunch bufé in the Restaurant Nador.

Magnificant wooden work in the diningroom.

We will definately come back here. The food was superb and it is NOT expencive.

Differences …

Bad idag

Vi gick till Margit ön idag för att bada och njuta av varmt termalvatten. Märkligt hur skönt det är att bada varmt under varma dagar. Då kan tom 30-gradersvärme  kännas lite svalt när man kliver ur bassängen.

Det finns många olika bassänger här vid Palatinus och det är inte lika crowdy som i Széchenyi (som ju också har många bassänger).  

Lángosen är goda här så jag passade på. Sedan när vi lämnade badet tänkte jag ta en bild på priserna för de kommer jag ju aldrig ihåg ….

… och då kom dagens första “småpåve” fram och sa att jag inte fick fotografera detta ….!!??
Knäppt va’! (Denna dagen träffade jag två “småpåvar” för ovanlighetens skull.)

Jag var nästan helt “utslagen” av det sköna - nyttiga tror jag - badet. I morgon blir det massage, manikyr och pedikyr … mina händer och Kärastens fötter. Man måste sköta om sig ibland – så är det bara!

“småpåve” = en person som tycker om att bestämma över andra – hur dumt han än bestämt sig för att bestämma.

Borfesztivál – Wine festival – at Buda Castle.

The first wine we tasted was a rosé from Törley. Lots of bubbles and nice in the warm day.

The back entrance. There were wine cabins all over the castle area and a lot of people of course.

It closed at 23:00 but we left before. We had a great day and bought a bottle each of our favourite wine for the day.

On the way up the hill to Buda castle we saw a tree with lots of green fruits like this one. Big as an apple. Do you know the tree?
I also brought my Canon G12 and took some fisheye shots. This is St Isván by the Fisherman’s Bastion.

The lense made the statue a bit funny in proportions.

This walk-about I decided to take pictures of details like door knobs. The president’s office is next to the Buda castle.

The horses are very busy with all tourists. The house in the background is the national archive, I think.

I can recommend the Hungarian dish letcho – I like it a lot and this one was delicious :)

Szechényi–termal bath

I will show you the famous Szechényi bath house from outside. It is situated in the city park in Budapest.

 

The first photos are from the “back” side where the entrance is if you are not going to have just some nice bathing and not medical massage.

Below is the front side. It is such a beautiful building. It is “a must” to come here. Just now you can also have a bath in the night under the stars between 23:30-03:30.

Middag på Donau

Vi bestämde oss för att äta på en båt i Donau igår kväll – om det inte var för dyrt förstås. Priserna verkade rimliga så vi undrade om det var OK att Milton följe med på båten upp på däck. Det var det – förstås! Ungrarna är ett hundälskande folk.

Visst ser det mysigt och romantiskt ut med vy över Kedjebron åt ena hållet och …

… vy över Elisabetbron andra hållet. Däremellan syns …

… Buda slottet.

Lite tornar molnen upp sig men ingen fara så länge vi äter.

Vi valde fläskfilé med ngn slags havresufflé samt letscó – det var himla gott fast lite dyrare än det stod vid stranden. Men det var nog för att ett annat däck var lite enklare och vi hade ju levande musik här.

Lite dyrare denna kväll – 11 000 huf inkl. service (ca 370 sek).

De blev så förtjusta i Milton alla kyparna och Milton uppförde sig som han var van vid restauranger. Trats att han inte hade någon träning hemifrån Sverige.

Milton blev serverad både vatten och godsaker – skinka och ost. Det försvann på bråkdelen av en sekund.

Sedan tog vi vars en glass på vägen hem i den ljuvliga kvällen.
