Budapest walk

Our World Tuesday

I will present 3 different places in Budapest today.

First a picture of the beautiful National Museum. Perhaps I will visit the photo exhibition tomorrow.

Secon is a statue outside the Parliamnet. He looks tired doesn’t he? Well the President resigned today here in Hungary. It was expected – people demonstarted outside the President Palace for a few days now.

This is also a statue but someone found it comfortable for a rest and afternoon nap.

I have found a fun app to my iPhone – RunKeeper. Tonight I went for a walk and took some pictures showing Budapest by night. Perhaps you can see it here ….?
First photo is not very fun – (shot before I locked the door).

Nyugati railway station in Budapest – we went inside for taking some pictures – some days ago … now I am in bed because of a cold :(

Police work

I have never seen so many policemen at the same time before.

The Ándrássy blvrd was closed for traffic in the Opera area. All streets crossing àndrássy were also closed and no cars were allowed to park. When we went out we noticed the empty street and all the policemen in our street but when we went home again and turned at the Opera this was what we saw:

Since we live in the street behind the Opera we were allowed to go in the closed area and I could take some pictures. The picture face the house opposite the Opera.

Groups of policemen marched ahead and they were riot-equipped. I wondered what they thought might happen?

Behind the Opera this man had a speach. Not so many were listening but he was surrounden by the police. Perhaps it all was about some extreme politics? I don’t know since we don’t speek Hungarian.

Also in our street there are a group of riot-equipped policemen. We came home all right but it was a bit exciting I must say.

There are always something happening in Budapest – but mostly about ART and CULTURE :)

Only one day with a blue sky since we moved back to Båstad … The marina is waiting for the summer guests …

… grey misty days and today rain … don’t like it at all!!!

Water Walk

Today was the first nice day this time in Budapest. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. I decided to take a walk to Buda Castle area and enjoy the beautiful view from the hills.

I have never seen the Danube so low. I am on the Chain bridge looking south.

The Sofitel’s windows reflect the sun back into the river.

Same view on my way back again. The Liberty statue is on the hill.

Looking back I can see the Buda Castle in the moonshine. It gets dark very fast.

Now I am back home – in my Budapest home. Friday I am back in Sweden again.

Szentendre

Our world 

Today I and my youngest daughter went to Szentendre north of Budapest and by the Danube riverside. I forgot my camera memory card (!!!!!) so my photos are from my iPhone.

Szentendre is an old pittoresque village and not far at all from Budapest. It takes about half an hour by train.

This is a cosy restaurant where we had some food before we went back to Budapest. 

A starter with fried chees ….  and we finished with palacsinta filled with apple and cinnamon ….

I am not taking my usual “photo walk abouts” – lack of inspiration – but I played with the water for a while today.

Across the Baltic sea is Denmark – Sunset last Saturday.

There were a lot of buckthorn (i think it is called so).

I have been shooting water drops last days. Here I used an eggcup with golden inside. It’s very fun!

Art exhibition

In Borås we went to visit the art museum. They hosts a very special collection of arts now. Oil paintings by a remarkable woman – Hilma af Klint and photo works by Adam Fuss.

We joined a guided tour and now I want to learn more about these interesting artists.

Dressed autumn

Milton and I went to the City Park today. It was all dressed in autumn colors.

Most of the day it was cloudy but sometimes the sun played around in the trees like I use to play around in Photo Shop.

In the centre city it is also decorated with autumn colors :)

Ale stones

Our World 

Yesterday we went for a walk along the south coast of Sweden. We parked our car and went away up and down the steep hills.

We are heading “Ales stenar” - Ale stones – and Kåseberga a little fishing village.

The area is very popular for this kind of sports.

Milton is ok now and runs along with us.

“Ales Stenar (Ale Stones), the mysterious "ship-setting" made of 59 large boulders set in a layout of a ship, 67 metre in length, 19 metre in breadth. This monumental stone formation is located just outside a fishing village of Kåseberga, approximately eighteen kilometres southeast of Ystad in Skåne, on an astoundingly flat, grassy headland that overlooks the narrow, pebbly beach of the Baltic Sea. The view from the Ales Stenar offers an open 180^o sea horizon and simultaneously an open 180^o land horizon” Andrew M Kobos

My husband (hiding behind the stone)  placed Milton on one of the stones.

On the hills there are both sheep and cows.

Now Kåseberga …

Here we arrive in Kåseberga and we will have a fish plate for lunch and then go back to the car.

Like a running fence – ha ha – not so artistic as Christos but also beautiful, I think.
I love Christos “Runing fence”.

The sun is setting while we are walking back.

We reach the car just in time … to see the sun disappeare … it is a kind of magic …
